FAQ · Straight answers

Asked, answered — honestly.

№ 01 — Before you buy
Will it work on my skin tone and hair colour?

IPL needs contrast: darker hair on lighter-to-olive skin. It won't work on white, grey, red or light-blonde hair, and isn't safe on the deepest skin tones — the sensor won't fire where IPL can't safely treat. The Smooth Check gives your answer in thirty seconds.

Is it permanent?

No, and we won't tell you otherwise. IPL gives long-lasting hair reduction with continued use — hair regrows finer and sparser, and most people keep up occasional top-ups. The UK advertising regulator has banned "permanent" claims for IPL, including from the biggest brands.

What do the three cartridges do?

Three snap-on cartridges come in the box: hair removal (HR) for body and the face below the cheekbones, skin rejuvenation (SR) for tone and texture, and acne care (AC) for blemish-prone areas. All three are included — no subscription, nothing extra to buy.

№ 02 — Using it
How often, and for how long?

One session a week for about twelve weeks, then top-ups every four to eight weeks. A full leg takes around ten minutes; underarms far less. Consistency beats intensity — a skipped month costs more progress than a lower setting.

Does it hurt?

Most people describe a warm flick, like a light elastic band. The chilled sapphire window is what keeps the higher levels comfortable. It isn't painless and we don't claim it is — start low and work up.

Where can I use it?

Legs, underarms, arms, bikini line, chest, back, and the face below the cheekbones. Never near the eyes, never over tattoos, moles or broken skin, and not during pregnancy — the manual carries the full list.
